Randal Grichuk Out With Groin Injury
1 year agoColorado Rockies outfielder Randal Grichuk (groin) ran the bases on Tuesday and is getting healthier, but he's not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Houston Astros. Grichuk has only played in one game so far in the second half of the season due to his groin injury, but he should be considered day-to-day for now. Brenton Doyle is starting in center field on Tuesday and is hitting ninth in the lineup against Astros right-hander Hunter Brown. Grichuk is hitting .300 (61-for-203) on the year, but his counting stats of five home runs, 18 doubles, one triple, 22 RBI and 33 runs scored in 225 plate appearances over 55 games have left a lot to be desired in his second season at hitter-friendly Coors Field.
