Rams Add Veteran DeSean Jackson
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with free-agent veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson on Sunday. He will fill a much-needed role as a deep threat in on offense that now features quarterback Matthew Stafford. Jackson, a three-time Pro Bowler, has the most 60-plus-yard touchdowns (24) in NFL history. The 34-year-old is entering his 13th NFL season and ranks sixth all time in yards per catch (17.4). Jackson will reunite with head coach Sean McVay, who served as his offensive coordinator for three years in Washington. Jackson is a proven speedy deep threat, but he'll be competing for targets amongst Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson and Tyler Higbee, and he's been extremely injury-prone in recent seasons. Jackson played in just three games in 2019 due to a core muscle injury and missed 11 games in 2020 with an ankle injury.
