Patriots Host Trey Flowers For A Workout Monday
1 year agoThe New England Patriots hosted free-agent veteran defensive end Trey Flowers for a workout at training camp on Monday. Flowers only saw action in four games (zero starts) with the Miami Dolphins last year because of a foot injury, ultimately finishing with just four total tackles. The 29-year-old was originally a fourth-round selection by the Patriots in 2015 out of Arkansas, and he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career in New England before joining the Detroit Lions for three seasons. Flowers would be providing the Pats with defensive-line depth if he joins them. In his eight NFL campaigns, he has 265 tackles (161 solo), 31.5 sacks, 37 tackles for loss, 87 QB hits, seven passes defensed, 10 forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 79 games (64 starts).
