Panthers Agree With DeShawn Williams Wednesday
2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal with former Denver Broncos defensive tackle DeShawn Williams on Wednesday night. He will follow defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero from Denver to Carolina. The 30-year-old made 15 starts for the Broncos last year and racked up 37 tackles (21 solo), a career-high 4.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, eight QB hits and three passes defensed in his third year with the team. The former undrafted free agent should play a rotational role along Carolina's defensive line next year next to Derrick Brown and Shy Tuttle, but he can be ignored in IDP leagues.
