Kyle Bradish (elbow) struggled in his first rehab start at the Triple-A level on Sunday. Bradish, who's working back from June 2024 Tommy John surgery, allowed seven runs (five earned) on six hits with 3:1 K:BB over three innings. The 28-year-old didn't get the results he wanted, but the good news is that he built up to 57 pitches (36 strikes) after amassing 38 in his previous rehab outing on Tuesday in Double-A ball. Bradish figures to need at least a couple more rehab starts before returning to the Orioles. He'll rejoin the O's rotation with a career 3.56 ERA, 9.18 K/9, and 2.9 BB/9 across 61 starts and 325 2/3 frames.

Shane Bieber (elbow) impressed in his organizational debut on Sunday. Making a rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo, Bieber went five innings and gave up two runs on five hits with six strikeouts against one walk. The 30-year-old former AL Cy Young winner threw 62 pitches (47 strikes) and sat in the 93-94 mph range with his fastball. Bieber said afterward that "everything feels great," per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet. It's unclear if Bieber will make another rehab start or debut with the Blue Jays, who acquired him from the Cleveland Guardians before Thursday's trade deadline. Bieber hasn't pitched in the majors since undergoing Tommy John surgery in April 2024, but AL East-leading Toronto was willing to roll the dice.

The 20-year-old missed much of the season with an ankle injury, which has also likely pushed his MLB debut until 2026. However, he should get some at-bats at Triple-A to finish out the season, and it could be a springboard for a fruitful fantasy campaign in the big leagues next year, bringing power and speed along with one of the best hit tools in the minors.

Salvon Ahmed (leg) suffered a "severe leg injury" and had to be carted off the field from the team's practice on Sunday, according to Colts head coach Shane Steichen. Ahmed was reportedly the victim of an (inadvertent) hip-drop tackle from his teammate, rookie safety Trey Washington. Ahmed did not appear in an NFL game in 2024, but played in 38 games (four starts) between 2020-2023 for the Miami Dolphins. He had been fighting for a depth role in the Colts' backfield with
Tyler Goodson, but it sounds as though this injury could potentially end Ahmed's 2025 season.

The Giants' top-ranked prospect is 12-for-44 (.273) with six home runs and 16 RBI over his last 11 games, and could push for a late-season call-up if he continues to flex his power. The 20-year-old began the season at Double-A and is now slashing .261/.326/.506 with 16 home runs in 66 games between the two levels. ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg says that Cook kept repeating "business."
