Travis Bazzana Homers in Three-Hit Game
Travis Bazzana went 3-for-5 on Saturday for Double-A Akron, including a double and a game-tying three-run home run in the ninth inning of the contest versus Erie. The Guardians' top prospect (MLB No. 13) finished up a rehab assignment in mid-July after suffering an oblique injury that kept him out for two months, and is 15-for-44 (.341) in the 11 games since rejoining the RubberDucks, with five doubles, a home run, and a 6:8 BB:K over that stretch. For the season, the 22-year-old is slashing .275/.377/.456 with five home runs and eight steals in 44 games. There's a chance he could see some at-bats at Triple-A to finish out the year, but a major league debut will likely have to happen in 2026 after so much time missed this year. A former first-overall draft pick with good hit, power, and run tools should make him one of the early stash candidates next season if he doesn't end up making the big league roster out of camp.
