Curtis Mead Recalled on Sunday
Curtis Mead is heading to the big-league roster on Sunday. Mead was acquired by the South Siders in a trade that sent Adrian Houser to the Tampa Bay Rays at the trade deadline. The White Sox are in need of another infielder with Miguel Vargas (oblique) heading to the injured list. Mead isn't in the starting lineup on Sunday, but figures to get regular playing time with Vargas out. He's a former top prospect, but isn't someone that needs to be rostered until he proves that he can hit at the big league level.
