Josh Downs (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant during Wednesday's estimated practice report as the team only held a walkthrough. Downs was initially deemed "week-to-week" after sustaining this shoulder injury during their loss to the Detroit Lions last weekend. However, the team has yet to rule Downs out, so fantasy managers should continue to closely monitor his status throughout the week. However, seeing him open the week as a non-participant is not a positive sign. Before Week 12, Downs was enjoying a nice stretch of performances as he averaged a strong 17.0 PPR points per game during Weeks 8 through 11. If Downs is unable to suit up,

Adonai Mitchell caught one of his three targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Lions. The rookie wideout has a single catch in four of the last five games, with the other game where he caught more (six receptions) coming during
Michael Pittman Jr.'s one-week hiatus. As the fourth option in a poor offense, the 22-year-old is a fantasy afterthought unless an injury opens up more opportunities for him.
Josh Downs exited with a shoulder injury in this game but was able to return, however, keep an eye on this week's practice reports. If Downs' injury turns out to be more serious, Mitchell could be thrust back into relevance, but until then, he can be safely left to the waiver wire.

Alec Pierce garnered his usual looks on Sunday but turned his four targets into just one catch in the 24-6 loss to the Lions. The one catch was a nice 39-yard grab, and
Anthony Richardson missed him badly on a wide-open throw early on in the contest for what would have been a huge gain or even a touchdown. The continued dose of deep shots to the speedy receiver is encouraging, as one of these weeks it could turn into a big day for the 24-year-old, but it is hard to predict when that will be, especially if Richardson doesn't improve his accuracy. Week 13 brings a somewhat favorable matchup against the Patriots, but that contest will be on the road on what will be a chilly day in Foxboro. Nevertheless, Pierce figures to be a boom/bust WR5 again.

Josh Downs was limited to just three catches for 27 yards in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Lions. Downs, who had been the Colts' most reliable pass catcher over the course of the season, tied
Michael Pittman Jr. for a team-high seven targets, but couldn't translate it into production. Richardson completed only 39.3% of his passes (11-for-28), so there wasn't much fantasy goodness to be had and blame should probably be placed on the QB and some untimely penalties rather than on Downs. The 23-year-old also exited briefly due to a shoulder injury but was able to return shortly thereafter. The Patriots pose less of a challenge in Week 13 and Downs will have a good chance to get back on track despite Richardson's deficiencies. Keep an eye on his practice status throughout the week, as the former third-round draft pick likely slots in as a WR3 if healthy.

Jonathan Taylor was held to just 35 scoreless yards on 11 carries in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Lions, and he was not targeted in the passing game. The former second-round pick hasn't really been involved in the passing game anyway, but with
Anthony Richardson being reinserted under center, the mobile quarterback has negatively impacted Taylor's role in the offense. Richardson totaled 61 yards on 10 carries on Sunday, and last week, it was Richardson who scored twice on the ground -- not Taylor. It hasn't helped that the Colts have played the Jets and the Lions, two teams that have been good against the run. Things should get a bit easier next week against the Patriots, but with the reemergence of Richardson's legs and with Taylor a non-factor through the air, the 25-year-old will likely get bounced from the ranks of RB1 status.

Josh Downs with a team-high seven targets and turning it into six receptions for 96 yards. No other Colt receiver had more than three catches or 39 yards. It was an encouraging performance on a day where
Anthony Richardson completed just 11 passes on 28 attempts. It was the second consecutive week in which the 27-year-old recorded at least seven targets and five catches with Richardson under center. The Colts will take on the Patriots in Week 13 who just allowed
Jaylen Waddle and
Tyreek Hill to total 192 yards receiving on 13 catches, so Pittman Jr. has a chance to keep the momentum going so long as Richardson keeps feeding him targets.

Anthony Richardson reverted to his inefficient ways on Sunday in a 24-6 loss to the Lions. A week after completing 66.7% of his passes and accounting for three touchdowns (one pass, two rush), the 22-year-old completed just 11 of 28 pass attempts (39.3%) for 172 yards and no TDs. He added 10 rushes for 61 yards, but no scores there either. On the bright side, the second-year pro did not turn the ball over at all. It's the third time in his last four starts that he's failed to complete more than 11 passes or surpass 175 yards, and the former first-round draft pick has thrown just two TD passes during that time, so managers are relying on rushing TDs which makes him a risky play from week-to-week. Week 13 brings a matchup with the Patriots who just allowed
Tua Tagovailoa to shred them for 317 yards and four TDs, but it's hard to envision Richardson having that kind of success.

Adonai Mitchell made a splash in Week 10 without
Michael Pittman Jr. (six catches, 71 yards) but reverted to his status as the No. 4 receiver in Week 11 (one catch, 33 yards) and will assume that role again in Week 12 with a fully healthy receiving corps. The 22-year-old has speed and uses it for deep targets, sitting just outside the top 10 WRs in aDOT (14.2). However, without volume and with a notoriously inaccurate QB, the former second-round draft pick makes for a very risky fantasy play. If you're looking for a reason to use him, there is a strong possibility that as seven-point underdogs, the Colts will be trying to keep pace with the Lions for the entire game, which could mean a few additional deep targets for the rookie wideout. The product out of the University of Texas is a WR5/6 dart throw, even in a week with six teams on bye.

The downside for him is that he's received just four targets or less in eight of 11 contests. On the bright side, the 24-year-old usually makes the most of it, leading his team in reception yards (although
Josh Downs is not far behind despite playing two fewer games) while recording a 30-plus yard reception in five of 11 weeks. Pierce figures to earn his usual share of deep shots in Week 12's matchup against the Lions, especially if the Colts -- who are seven-point underdogs -- find themselves trailing late in the game. The former second-round draft pick ranks in the WR5 range this week, but with his four TDs on the season, the third-year pro does possess some upside.
