Ndamukong Suh Headed Back To Buccaneers
4 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal with a maximum value of $10 million on Wednesday, according to a source. Suh's contract will include voidable years to help with this year's salary cap figure. He's spent the last two years in Tampa on one-year deals and has played a key role in the team's transition from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defensive scheme. Suh had 2.5 sacks and four fumble recoveries (two for touchdowns) in 2019. He finished last season with six sacks, one forced fumble and 44 tackles. His 330 plays against double-teams was second to only Aaron Donald, the Defensive Player of the Year. While the 34-year-old can still do damage on an improved Tampa defensive line, he could be in his last NFL season and surely isn't the IDP monster he once was. He's a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro with 64.5 sacks and 563 tackles in 11 NFL seasons.
