Nationals Decline Option On Victor Robles
1 year agoThe Washington Nationals declined their $3.3 million 2024 club option on outfielder Victor Robles (back) on Thursday. Robles remains under team control and is eligible for salary arbitration this offseason. The 26-year-old former top prospect has been a bust for the Nationals to this point and played in only 36 games in 2023 due to a back injury. He finished a .299/.385/.364 slash line with no home runs, five doubles, a triple, eight RBI, eight stolen bases and 15 runs scored in his 126 trips to the plate in his seventh season in D.C. Robles has pretty much only been useful for stolen bases in fantasy leagues. In his seven years with Washington, he's slashed just .238/.312/.360 with 31 home runs, 154 RBI and 66 stolen bases in 516 games.
