Michael Toglia Optioned, Keston Hiura Recalled
Michael Toglia to Triple-A Albuquerque. In a corresponding move, the Rockies have recalled infielder Keston Hiura from Triple-A. Toglia has had a disappointing start to the campaign. Through his first 54 contests, Toglia posted a low .194/.266/.349 slash line with nine doubles, one triple, and six home runs. He held a high 39.1% strikeout rate, which placed him in the first percentile among qualified hitters. He also generated a low .276 xwOBA, .205 xBA, and a .358 xSLG, which place him in the seventh, second, and 17th percentiles. Hiura has spent the entire campaign in the minor leagues. Through 46 games with Triple-A Albuquerque, Hiura held a .243/.360/.467 line with nine home runs. Fantasy managers in NL-only leagues should consider adding Hiura as a depth option as he could carve out a starting role in Colorado.
