The Detroit Lions plan to release cornerback Justin Coleman in the coming days, according to a source. Coleman, who is one of the highest-paid slot corners in the NFL at $9 million annually, will head back to the open market. The soon-to-be 28-year-old didn't really live up to his high price in his two seasons with the Lions, recording 69 solo tackles (three for loss), one interception, 14 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 27 games (16 starts). As a team, Detroit allowed the most yards per pass and the third-most passing yards per game in 2020. The Lions will save $4.9 million against the salary cap by cutting Coleman, who ranked 111th at his position, according to Pro Football Focus.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
