Leody Taveras Swinging From The Right Side
2 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras (oblique) has advanced to swinging from the right side, but he's still unlikely to be activated from the 10-day injured list when he's eligible on Friday. The 24-year-old switch-hitter is making some progress, but fantasy managers will have to be patient. He could go out on a short minor-league rehab assignment later this week/weekend, and if he doesn't have any setback, he could make his 2023 season debut early next week for the Rangers. Taveras is mostly interesting for his speed. In 99 games for the Rangers in his third MLB season in 2022, he slashed .261/.309/.366 with a .675 OPS, five home runs, 34 RBI, 39 runs scored and a career-high 11 stolen bases in 341 plate appearances.
