Lamar Jackson Won't Play In Preseason Opener Saturday
1 year agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won't play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Most teams hold their most important offensive players out of early preseason action, so this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. While Jackson doesn't expect to run as much in new offensive coordinator Todd Monken's scheme, the 26-year-old dual-threat signal-caller remains a top-five fantasy QB1, especially with the Ravens fully committed to improving their passing attack in 2023. Jackson has missed valuable time late in the last two seasons due to lower-body injuries, but the upside just remains too high to dock him much in the fantasy rankings.
