Junior Caminero Hits Three-Run Home Run in Win
Junior Caminero hit a three-run home run in the first inning of Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, one of only three hits the team would collect on the day, but it would prove to be enough to win, with the Rays taking the matchup 3-1. Caminero was in a 4-for-31 (.129) funk over his last eight games heading into the weekend series, but is 3-for-6 against Toronto with a double and a home run, so perhaps he's about to go on a bit of a run here. His home run had an exit velocity of 104.8, however, his groundout in the sixth inning was the second-hardest hit ball in the game, registering at 111.3 off the bat. The 21-year-old is now hitting .239 with nine home runs, 23 RBI, 21 runs scored, and three stolen bases through 47 games, and will face off with Chris Bassitt on Sunday, whom he is 1-for-3 off of in his career.
