Jordan Lawlar Settles Back in with Three-Hit Game
Jordan Lawlar is settling back in at Triple-A Reno after being optioned on May 29. The former sixth-overall draft pick went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in his first game back with the Aces, but went 3-for-4 with a walk, two RBI, and a run scored in the second game on Sunday. The 22-year-old didn't do much in his time with the big league club, but wasn't given a chance to play every day (or even every other day in some cases), so surely it was challenging to get in a rhythm. At some point, there will be another opportunity to join the D-backs in a full-time role later this season, and the right-handed hitter is still the fourth-ranked prospect in all of baseball; fantasy managers will just have to wait a bit longer to see it. Continue to stash Lawlar in leagues where you have an open bench or NA spot.
