Jordan Lawlar Homers, Swipes Two Bases on Saturday
Jordan Lawlar went 1-for-5 on Saturday, smacking his ninth home run of the season, walking once, and swiping two bags for Triple-A Reno. The D-backs' top-ranked prospect has hit safely in nine of 12 games since being demoted back on May 29, slashing .288/.383/.596 with three doubles, two triples, three home runs, and three steals during that time. It should only be a matter of time before he gets another shot with the big league club, but hopefully the next time around, there will be regular at-bats available so that he can stay in rhythm. Despite struggling during his brief stints in the majors, there is still 20/20 potential here in the future, although the 22-year-old doesn't warrant stashing in most redraft leagues at this point.
