Jonathan India Returns For Reds
5 months agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (knee) is back in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the visiting Colorado Rockies and left-hander Kyle Freeland, serving as the designated hitter and batting leadoff. India will return to action after he was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with a left-knee contusion. It obviously wasn't a very serious injury for the 27-year-old, although he won't return to the field just yet. Santiago Espinal is playing second again and is hitting ninth. India has cooled off a bit in July but has hit .375 (27-for-72) with two home runs, 13 doubles, seven RBI, seven walks, two steals and 16 runs scored in 19 games since June 18. Fantasy managers will want to get him back into their lineups in a juicy matchup against Freeland. India has three hits in six career at-bats against Freeland.
