Jonah Heim Goes Deep In Losing Effort
2 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Jonah Heim went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored, a walk and a strikeout in the team's 5-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Friday night. Heim has now hit three-run homers in back-to-back games for the Rangers, and he's now hitting .313 (15-for-48) with two doubles, four home runs, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored in 56 plate appearances in his first 14 games of the 2023 campaign. The 27-year-old backstop will continue to split time with Sandy Leon behind the plate in Texas with Mitch Garver (knee) on the injured list, but Heim is by far the superior offensive option for fantasy managers. Heim is the team's primary catcher over the offensively challenged Leon.
