Joe Jimenez Won't Return in 2025
Joe Jimenez (knee) will not pitch in 2025, manager Brian Snitker announced. Jimenez will end up missing the entire season after undergoing surgery on his left knee last October. The 30-year-old began throwing bullpen sessions in July in hopes of returning, but the Braves shut him down after he felt discomfort in his knee. Jimenez enjoyed a career year in 2024 with a 2.62 ERA, a .99 WHIP, 82:23 K:BB, and 27 holds in 68 2/3 innings. However, he won't be able to follow up on that until 2026, the last season of a three-year, $26 million contract.
