1 year agoWith Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (wrist) going on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, the Angels recalled outfielder Jo Adell and right-hander Gerardo Reyes from Triple-A Salt Lake. Right-hander Victor Mederos was optioned to Double-A Rocket City after Monday's game. Adell should see extended playing time in the Angels' outfield for at least the next several weeks with Trout out anywhere from four to eight weeks. The 24-year-old former top prospect has yet to put it all together in the majors, as he's hit just .215/.261/.362 with 16 homers, 61 RBI and six steals in 162 games in four seasons. However, he has been dominating minor-league pitching in 2023 to the tune of 23 home runs and a .956 in 72 games for Salt Lake. Adell is at least worth picking up in deep-mixed leagues if you need more outfield depth.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
