Jets Won't Say If Aaron Rodgers Will Play Beyond 2023
2 years agoNew York Jets general manager Joe Douglas didn't comment on if new quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play beyond the 2023 season. Douglas doesn't want to put words in Rodgers' mouth and said the media will be able to talk to Rodgers himself about his future soon enough at his introductory news conference. The Jets officially acquired Rodgers, the No. 15 overall pick in this year's draft and a fifth-rounder from the Green Bay Packers on Monday in exchange for the No. 13 overall pick, the No. 42 overall pick, a sixth-round selection and a 2024 second-rounder that will become a first-rounder if Rodgers plays 65% of the offensive snaps this year. Only the future Hall of Fame signal-caller knows whether he wants to play past 2023, but he will have plenty of bounce-back potential in fantasy with better offensive weapons in New York.
