Miles Sanders Downgrades to DNP on Thursday
Miles Sanders (ankle, knee) is firmly in danger of missing a second straight game in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday after he was downgraded to a non-participant in Thursday's practice. Sanders was limited in practice on Wednesday, so he's going in the wrong direction to be available this weekend after missing his first game of the year in the Week 5 win over the New York Jets with ankle and knee injuries. Javonte Williams has earned the workhorse RB role in Dallas with a strong start to the 2025 season, so Sanders has been the change-of-pace option behind him through four games played. If Sanders is forced to miss a second straight game, rookie Jaydon Blue would be active for just the second time this season. Blue only saw four carries for seven yards last week and wasn't targeted in the passing game. He may have a bigger role in Week 6 behind Williams if Sanders is out again, but it won't be enough to justify using him as a flex play in deep fantasy leagues.
