Athletics starting pitcher Jeffrey Springs posted his worst outing of the month during Thursday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Springs was hit around early, giving up a homer to Spencer Torkelson and a two-run double to Jahmai Jones before the end of the third inning. He settled down after that, but allowed three earned runs on five hits with two walks over five innings of work in the loss. He currently holds a 4.30 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 75/34/ K/BB ratio as he heads into his next outing against the Tampa Bay Rays. Springs has some streaming value for that one, but has been more of a deep league option this season.--Andy Webb
