Isiah Pacheco Expected To Be Ready For Week 1
1 year agoThe Kansas City Chiefs expect running back Isiah Pacheco (hand, shoulder) to be ready to go for the regular season opener against the Detroit Lions, according to general manager Brett Veach. Pacheco had offseason surgeries on his hand and shoulder and has been a limited participant in training camp practices. He's yet to be cleared for contact after leading the team in rushing yards as a rookie in 2022. Pacheco also ran for 76 yards and a touchdown in the Super Bowl. The 24-year-old earned lead-back duties after becoming a starter in his rookie season, although he'll split the workload with Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Pacheco is the clear top fantasy back in KC's backfield, but fantasy managers should consider him more of an RB3/flex.
