Huascar Ynoa Strikes Out Nine, Homers
4 years agoAtlanta Braves pitcher Huascar Ynoa was dominant on the mound and at the plate on Wednesday. The young right-hander struck out nine Chicago Cubs during a 10-0 victory. He held opposing hitters scoreless for 5 1/3 innings and allowed four hits and two walks. At the plate, he went 2-for-3 with a single and a home run. He now has a 1.200 OPS through 10 at-bats this season. Back on the mound, Ynoa has a 2.96 ERA with a K-BB of 34-6 in 27 1/2 innings this season. The 22-year-old is suddenly looking to join Atlanta's stable of good, young arms, which also includes Mike Soroka, Max Fried, and Ian Anderson.
