Jacob Misiorowski Could Pitch Against Reds on Friday
Jacob Misiorowski (leg) will pitch Friday in either a shorter big-league outing against the division-rival Cincinnati Reds or in a minor-league rehab game, according to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Misiorowski traveled with the team to Cincinnati, so he's firmly in the mix to come off the 15-day injured list to start Friday's series opener at Great American Ball Park. The 23-year-old hard-throwing right-hander is one of the best young arms in baseball and has gone 4-1 with a 2.70 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 47 strikeouts and 14 walks in 33 1/3 innings pitched over his first seven big-league starts. Although Miz would be in line for a shorter outing if he faces the Reds on Friday, his high-end strikeout upside would still make him a candidate for starting fantasy lineups.
