Gregory Polanco Won't Be Limited In Camp
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco (shoulder) reported to camp on Saturday and will not have any physical limitations in workouts. Polanco had left shoulder surgery after the 2018 season and wound up playing in only 42 games last year because of complications with his shoulder. The 28-year-old Dominican says he's finally healthy, which could help him bounce back from his disappointing 2019 season. He hit .242 with only six homers, 17 RBI and three steals in 153 at-bats. But when healthy, Polanco has 20-homer, 20-steal potential. His fantasy stock is obviously down after his shoulder issues from last year, and it doesn't help that the Pirates are rebuilding. Polanco may not even be selected in shallow mixed leagues, but he's worth a late-round flier as a low-risk, high-reward player.
