2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. Springer will get his first day off of the 2023 season in the matinee game. With Springer taking a seat, Cavan Biggio is getting the start in right field and is hitting eighth in the lineup against right-hander Jordan Lyles. Shortstop Bo Bichette will hit leadoff for Toronto. The 33-year-old Springer has gone 7-for-29 (.241) in the early going in his first six games, adding two RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases. He should be back in the lineup on Friday. Biggio will be a low-upside play in fantasy on Thursday near the bottom of the order. He has two hits in his first nine at-bats this year in four games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
