Fernando Tatis Jr. Goes Deep In Minor-League Game
2 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop/outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-2 with a home run, RBI, two runs scored, two walks and a strikeout for Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday night while playing right field. Tatis is biding his time in the minors until he completes the rest of his suspension. He'll be eligible to make his 2023 debut for the Padres on April 20 on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 24-year-old looks to be heating up at the dish, as he's gone 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI, three runs scored, a stolen base and four walks in two games for El Paso. The young superstar didn't play at all in 2022 due to injury and suspension, but he'll be back soon and can be a fantasy difference-maker.
