Ezekiel Elliott Thinks He'll Play Against Eagles
4 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (calf) thinks he's on track to play in Week 16 against the division-rival Eagles despite a calf injury that has bothered him for the last three weeks and kept him on the sidelines in Week 15 against the 49ers for the first time in his career. Elliott did some resistance training at the start of practice and went through some team drills on Wednesday. "I feel better today than I have in the last three weeks on a Wednesday," Elliott said. Tony Pollard stepped in for 69 rushing yards and two touchdowns last week while also leading the team with six catches for 63 yards in the win. Barring a setback this week, though, it looks like Elliott will return as the primary rusher. He hasn't had a great season for fantasy managers, averaging just 3.9 yards per carry, but he'll be a strong RB2 this weekend against Philly if he's active.
