Esteury Ruiz Swipes Another Bag On Sunday
2 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Esteury Ruiz went 1-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in a 2-0 shutout loss to the Houston Astros on Sunday. Framber Valdez worked a four-hit, complete-game shutout in this one so there wasn't much offense to go around for the A's. Ruiz knocked the only extra-base hit, a double, and swiped his league-leading 24th bag of the season. The two-bagger was his 13th of the year and he's now slashing .333/.394/.433 over his last seven contests. On the year, the 24-year-old is rocking a .286/.348/.381 batting line to go along with one home run, 22 RBI, and 24 stolen bases. He's been a menace on the basepaths this season and will remain fantasy relevant as long as he keeps running.
