Erik Jones and his Legacy Motor Club teammate John Hunter Nemechek have definitely seemed to pick up speed on intermediate tracks in recent weeks and although Jones has still been rather anonymous, he has seemed to regain his strong passing abilities from before his Talladega injury this year to some extent. He starts 14th today just as he did at Texas when he got a top five, but although he's had a little more speed than last year, he still rarely seems to have top ten speed and he needed to deftly weave through a lot of crashes to work through the field on that occasion. While last year's Nashville race had numerous crashes, the 2022 and 2023 races didn't so it seems more likely that he's going to struggle to improve from his 14th place starting position, and he's too far back to threaten for the lead and score either lap leader or fastest lap points. His speed uptick is promising, but he's only worth starting for DFS when he qualifies worse than this.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
