6 years agoKansas City Royals backup catcher Drew Butera is on a little bit of a tear. A day after showing off his wheels by legging out an inside-the-park home run, the 34-year-old backstop smacked three hits against the Tigers. It's Butera's first three-hit game in over a year and only his third multi-hit game this season. Butera is still firmly the backup catcher with All-Star starter Salvador Perez handling the day-to-day duties, but the team may give him a few more at-bats if he can keep up his little hitting streak.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
