Dolphins Won't Trade For Deshaun Watson
3 years agoAlthough the Miami Dolphins did their due diligence on Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson and had conversations with the Texans, the Dolphins will not trade for him before Tuesday's deadline, according to a source. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross wanted more clarification on Watson's pending legal matters and made the final decision not to move forward. Head coach Brian Flores continued to reiterate that Tua Tagovailoa would be the team's starter for the rest of the 2021 season as well. It's possible that the Dolphins could revisit trading for Watson in the offseason, but for now, Tagovailoa remains Miami's starter under center for the rest of this year, barring any further injuries.
