David Price To Open As Fifth Starter
David Price will open the season as the team's fifth starter because of an illness that he dealt with this spring. He will be available to pitch in relief in earlier games, according to manager Alex Cora. The left-hander finally put his postseason demons to rest last October in helping the Red Sox win the World Series. The 33-year-old went 16-7 with a 3.58 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 9.1 K/9 in 30 starts for Boston last year and remains fantasy relevant in all leagues as a No. 2 starter.
