Darick Hall Injured Wednesday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Darick Hall (thumb) was removed from Wednesday's game early against the New York Yankees with a right thumb injury. Hall injured himself sliding into second base in the fourth inning and was replaced by Alec Bohm at first base. Edmundo Sosa entered the game at the hot corner. We'll have more details on the 27-year-old's injury after the game or on Wednesday night, but the Phillies can ill-afford another injury at first base after already losing Rhys Hoskins (knee) for the season in spring training. Hall entered Wednesday's game with a .188 average (3-for-16) with a double, RBI, run scored, a walk and two strikeouts in his first five games of the 2023 season.
