Dan Arnold Agrees With Panthers
4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal with free-agent tight end Dan Arnold on Friday, according to a source. Arnold will be reunited with former New Orleans Saints coach Joe Brady, who is Carolina's offensive coordinator. The 26-year-old saw his role increase with the Arizona Cardinals last year, catching 31 passes on 45 targets for 438 yards and four touchdowns in 16 regular season games. It was the best season of his three-year career. The Panthers barely used Ian Thomas as a pass-catching tight end last season, so that doesn't bode well for Arnold potentially topping his output from last season. In 31 career games (seven starts), Arnold has 51 catches on 78 targets for 715 yards and seven touchdowns.
