Houston Astros right-hander Cristian Javier (illness) left his start against the Baltimore Orioles early on Sunday "due to illness," the Astros announced. Javier threw three innings of one-run, three-hit ball with two strikeouts and no walks before Houston replaced him with righty Shawn Dubin. It was Javier's second start since he returned on Monday from June 2024 Tommy John surgery. The 28-year-old has been effective in his first eight innings back, having allowed three runs on six hits with 7:2 K:BB. As of now, he's scheduled to make another start against the Orioles on Friday.--Connor Byrne
