2 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts elevated running back Phillip Lindsay from their practice squad to the active roster for Thursday night's game against his former team, the Denver Broncos, according to a source. With Jonathan Taylor (ankle) ruled out for Week 5, Lindsay will make his Colts debut and could have a role alongside pass-catching back Nyheim Hines and Deon Jackson. The former undrafted running back had 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons with Denver but then quickly fell out of favor and was released. He had 88 carries for 249 yards and a touchdown in 14 games with the Texans and Dolphins in 2021. Lindsay could factor in on early downs against Denver on Thursday, but he's not a recommended option in starting fantasy lineups in his first game with Indy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
