Carlos Santana Out With Ankle Sprain
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Carlos Santana (ankle) is out of the lineup again on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs. In his absence, Mark Canha is getting the start at first base and will bat third in the order against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele. Santana sprained his ankle in Sunday's series finale against the San Diego Padres and will miss his second straight game. The 37-year-old's injury isn't believed to be very serious, though, so he should be considered day-to-day this week. Since coming over from the Pittsburgh Pirates at the trade deadline in early August, Santana has gone just 22-for-101 (.218) with six home runs, 15 RBI and 14 runs scored in 25 games for the Brew Crew.
