1 year agoThe Seattle Mariners placed rookie right-hander Bryan Woo (forearm) on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to Aug. 5) on Tuesday with right-forearm inflammation and recalled right-hander Ryder Ryan from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. The M's also claimed right-hander Ryan Jensen off waivers from the Chicago Cubs and designated right-hander Matt Festa for assignment. In his first 11 major-league starts, Woo has posted a 4.75 ERA (4.07 FIP), 1.24 WHIP, 17 walks and 60 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched. It's unclear as of right now how long the 23-year-old will be sidelined, but Seattle has recalled top pitching prospect Emerson Hancock to replace Woo in the team's starting rotation for the time being.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
