Brett Rypien Could Make Second Start Of The Season
2 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien came on in relief of a concussed Russell Wilson in Week 14 against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth quarter and went 4-for-8 for 16 yards, one touchdown and one interception. If Wilson doesn't clear the concussion protocol, Rypien could be making his second start of the year and the third of his career in Week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals. In his first start against a tough New York Jets defense in Week 7, Rypien went 24-for-46 for 225 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. There's a chance receivers Courtland Sutton (hamstring) and Kendall Hinton (hamstring) could both be out, so Rypien won't have a ton of options if he gets the start. The 26-year-old would be a desperation low-end QB2 in superflex leagues if Wilson doesn't get the green light.
