Braves Designate Eddie Rosario For Assignment
Eddie Rosario for assignment to make room for infielder Luke Williams on the 40-man roster after they selected his contract from Triple-A Gwinnett. Rosario began the 2025 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers but only played two games with them before signing a one-year deal with Atlanta last month. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter played just three games for the Braves. He went 1-for-8 with a run scored and two strikeouts in his five games with the Dodgers and Braves. It remains to be seen if he'll latch on with another team this season, but if he does, don't expect him to be anything more than a left-handed bat off the bench at the major-league level. Rosario slashed .175/.215/.316 with 10 home runs, 35 RBI and nine steals in 91 games last year with the Braves and Washington Nationals.
