Brandon Johnson Could Be Thrust Into No. 2 Role
2 years agoDenver Broncos rookie wide receiver Brandon Johnson has played in just four games in his first NFL season, with all four of them coming in the last four weeks. He's hauled in only three of his 10 targets for just 12 yards, but he does have one touchdown. Johnson will be playing in his fifth NFL game this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, and he could be Denver's No. 2 wideout behind Jerry Jeudy with both Courtland Sutton (hamstring) and Kendall Hinton (hamstring) in danger of sitting out. However, even if Sutton and Hinton are inactive, Johnson shouldn't be anywhere near starting fantasy lineups in the Broncos' lackluster offense. Fellow rookies Jalen Virgil and Montrell Washington will also have elevated roles if both Sutton and Hinton are out.
