Brad Keller Earns Third Save Of Season Tuesday
Brad Keller picked up his third save of the season in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Pirates. Keller came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by three and delivered a 1-2-3 performance with two strikeouts. The 30-year-old has had a resurgent season out of the bullpen for the Cubs and has split save opportunities with Andrew Kittredge since Daniel Palencia (shoulder) was placed on the injured list with a right shoulder strain. Kittredge pitched a clean seventh inning in Tuesday's win. Keller now has four wins and 25 holds to go with a 2.16 ERA, a 0.96 WHIP, and a 9.59 K/9 rate in 66 2/3 innings of work.
