Adolis Garcia Injured In Game 3 Of World Series
1 year agoTexas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (side) was removed from Game 3 of the World Series on Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks after grabbing at his left side in his at-bat to end the eighth inning. The Rangers officially announced it as left-side tightness. Travis Jankowski replaced Garcia in right field. The Rangers led the D-backs 3-0 at the time Garcia left. It's unknown at this time how serious the 30-year-old's injury is, but it would be a crushing blow to Texas if they were to lose him for any amount of games for the remainder of the World Series. He went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout before leaving the game, but he entered Monday's contest as the hottest hitter on the planet. Garcia was the ALCS MVP and has eight long balls in the playoffs, including six homers in five straight games from Oct. 19-27.
