NFL DFS Lineup Picks For FanDuel, DraftKings - Packers vs. Lions TNF Showdown (Week 14)

Jayden Reed - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Koby has his top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings for tonight's Thursday Night Football Packers vs. Lions showdown slate for Week 14.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have a big NFC North matchup as the Green Bay Packers (9-3) look to keep their divisional hopes alive against the division-leading Detroit Lions (11-1). Romeo Doubs is the only significant player who will miss this game, making everyone else viable on this slate. Jaire Alexander is also out, but that didn't seem to affect the Packers' win against Miami last week.

We have been pretty successful so far with these showdown slates, and hopefully, that trend will continue from last year into this year. Most of us started our fantasy journeys with football, so it's always nice when it comes around. Thanks to today's advanced analytics, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket.

I will provide you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Packers vs. Lions NFL DFS showdown slate on December 5. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, you can follow me on X @DFSKoby and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts whenever you'd like!

MVP/Captain Plays

David Montgomery - RB, Detroit Lions - $12.9K (DK), $12K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 166 rushing attempts, 720 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, 27 receptions, 277 receiving yards

David Montgomery has been elite this season, finishing only once below 10 fantasy points. Montgomery is a great floor play with how consistent he has been. He also gets a solid matchup against Green Bay, which is giving up the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season as well as the fifth-most receptions to RBs. This makes Jahmyr Gibbs an intriguing option as well. But for cash games, I would stick with Montgomery.

Jayden Reed- WR, Green Bay Packers - $11.4K (DK), $11K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 58 targets, 44 receptions, 693 receiving yards, six touchdowns, 128 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown

Jayden Reed was huge for us last Thursday and I'm going right back to him this week. The Lions' biggest weakness has been against WRs this season, and in their last matchup, they gave up 115 yards to Reed. He has a great matchup against Amik Robertson, who is giving up .28 FP per route run this season in the slot. With no Romeo Doubs again, Jordan Love should be looking to Reed quite a bit in this one.

Other Captains/MVPs: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jordan Love, Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs

DFS Flex Plays

Sam LaPorta- TE, Detroit Lions - $5.6K (DK), $9.5K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 44 targets, 31 receptions, 391 receiving yards, five touchdowns

Sam LaPorta hasn't been as impressive as his rookie year was but he has shown out on a couple of occasions, including last week where he finished with two touchdowns. LaPorta should be in for a solid matchup, as the Packers are giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing TEs across the last four weeks, including a massive game from Jonnu Smith last week where he had 10 receptions for 113 yards. LaPorta could be in for a big game in this one.

Amon-Ra St. Brown - WR, Detroit Lions - $10.2K (DK), $14.5K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 92 targets, 76 receptions, 820 receiving yards, nine receiving touchdowns

Keeping it here with the Lions offense. ARSB hasn't seen below seven targets since Week 8 and has averaged 7.7 targets a game this season. He now doesn't have to worry about Jaire Alexander lining up across from him, which could lead to an explosive game from St. Brown. He should have a big advantage over this Packers secondary.

Other Flex Options: Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Josh Jacobs

DFS Value Plays

Dontayvion Wicks - WR, Green Bay Packers - $4.2K (DK), $7.5K (FD)

Dontayvion Wicks hasn't been a big part of this offense, but with Doubs going down, it has opened up more opportunities. Last week against Miami, he was targeted five times and caught four of them for 30 yards. He played in 89% of snaps, however, which is encouraging. For his price, he is a good value option who could see a big game, if allowed to do so.

Brandon McManus - K, Green Bay Packers - $3.6K (DK), $7K (FD)

Keeping it here with the Packers side, Brandon McManus has finished with double-digit FP in the last two games and now gets a good matchup against the Lions. The Lions are only allowing touchdowns in the red zone 41% of the time, which is second-best in the league! This could lead to more FGs from the Packers and give McManus a chance to show off his leg.

Other Value Plays: Jake Bates, Tucker Kraft, Tim Patrick

Enjoy your week, and good luck, everyone!
