Today's NBA Picks: Top Player Props, Odds, and Best Bets (Monday, 3/9/26)

Karl-Anthony Towns - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Get Keith Eyster's top NBA player props and expert picks for Monday, 3/9/26. Uncover today's best value bets, model projections, and live odds to beat the books.

Welcome back to another edition of RotoBaller's NBA Props! There are five games on the schedule this evening, with Cleveland and New York the only two teams on the second leg of a back-to-back.

Cleveland's injury report will certainly be noteworthy. Jarrett Allen sat last night, while Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley have both dealt with recent injuries and are candidates for injury management who might rest. Additionally, Philadelphia's top three stars are out, Oklahoma City still has multiple injuries, and Memphis looks to be extremely thin.

In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Monday, March 9th. Prop picks can range from individual stats, such as points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive statistics, to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Alright, let's get to the picks already!

NBA Props Tool

Our NBA prop projections really favor Sixers backup big man Adem Bona to go over his points and rebounds prop, but there's some risk with the Sixers' props tonight as they are heavy underdogs (+12.5) against the Cavs.

Jaylin Williams is showing up as an under, BUT I would be careful there since Isaiah Hartenstein is out and Chet Holmgren is considered questionable. He's been really good lately, so I would be careful hitting any unders on his props today without knowing Chet's status.

Today’s Best NBA Picks for Player Props

Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:

Karl-Anthony Towns over 12.5 Rebounds (-130 FanDuel)

New York big man Karl-Anthony Towns is averaging 11.9 rebounds per game this season, but there are multiple reasons to target the over on his rebounds tonight. Over his last six games, that average has jumped to 14.2 rebounds. That jump coincides with a reduction in playing time for elite rebounding wing Josh Hart, who is averaging just 26.3 minutes per game during that stretch.

Additionally, the Knicks are playing the second leg of a back-to-back, and Mitchell Robinson has not played both legs of a back-to-back all season. As a result, the backup big man should rest tonight.  In 16 games with Robinson inactive this season, Towns averages 32.6 minutes, 14.1 rebounds, and a 23.2% rebound rate. With Robinson active this season, Towns averages 30.8 minutes, 11.1 rebounds, and a 20.4% rebound rate.

Finally, the matchup against the Clippers also has its advantages. They rank as an average rebounding team for the season, but have traded away elite rebounder Ivica Zubac, and John Collins is out for this game.

Brandin Podziemski over 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114 FanDuel)

Golden State continues to play without Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, while Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis, and Moses Moody have also been ruled out for this contest. Guard Brandin Podziemski has stepped in a big way while Golden State has been shorthanded. Since moving into the starting lineup five games ago, he's averaged 35.4 minutes, 18.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists (30.4 PRA). Horford, Moody, and Porzingis have been active multiple times during that stretch as well.

The matchup tonight against Utah is as elite as it can possibly get. They play at the third-fastest pace and rank dead last in defensive efficiency, while allowing the most points and assists in the NBA. Their rebounding also takes a massive hit with all of Jusuf Nurkic, Jaren Jackson, and Lauri Markkanen out tonight.

Top NBA Value Picks and Sleeper Props

Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies in the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations. We don't want to wager only on superstars; often, role players and lesser-known players may offer the best markets.

Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.

Gui Santos over 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-108 FanDuel)

Let's double down on the Warriors tonight because it's that good of a spot. As outlined in the Podziemski blurb, Golden State is extremely shorthanded tonight, and they happen to get the best possible matchup in basketball.

Like his teammate, Gui Santos has stepped into a much larger role recently. Over his last 13 games, he's averaging 31.5 minutes, 14.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists (25.3 PRA). Again, several of those games have come with Horford, Porzingis, and Moody active.  He's played over 37 minutes in each of the last two games and averaged 31 PRA in two of the most difficult matchups against Oklahoma City and Houston. He should be able to have just as much success tonight against the worst defense in the league.

Noah Clowney over 14.5 Points (-118 DraftKings), (-125 NOVIG)

Brooklyn forward Noah Clowney has stepped up his production in recent games. He's scored at least 16 points in three straight games, and he's done it against Detroit's second-ranked defense and twice against Miami's fourth-ranked defense.

Tonight, he gets a much easier matchup against an extremely shorthanded Memphis squad, and there should be an even larger role available for Clowney. Michael Porter Jr. has been ruled out, which is significant for the overall outlook of Brooklyn's offense. MPJ leads Brooklyn in usage and scoring this season, so there should be plenty of extra opportunities available in this game. Memphis ranks just 25th in defensive efficiency over its last 10 games.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper over 14.5 Points (-115 BetMGM)

The Memphis Grizzlies are potentially down to just eight active players tonight, with all of Cedric Coward, Taylor Hendricks, Ty Jerome, and Scotty Pippen Jr. listed as doubtful to play. They are especially thin in the frontcourt, where Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Hendricks have been sharing center duties. The team is so desperate for center help that they have signed 40-year-old veteran Taj Gibson, but he is not yet ready for action and has been ruled out tonight. If Hendricks is also ruled out, Prosper should see a hefty workload as the lone player capable of handling the center position.

Prosper has played well for Memphis since taking on a larger role after the trade deadline. In 12 games since then, he's averaged 13.9 points in 25.2 minutes per game. He has a chance to play much more than that tonight, and he gets an elite matchup against Brooklyn's 27th-ranked defense.
