The lineup construction is a little bit different than your typical DFS slate as these include a 1.5x multiplier Captain's spot on DK that carries elevated salaries for each player, and MVP (2x), STAR (1.5x), and PRO (1.2x) spots on FanDuel, where player's salaries are the same regardless of roster spot.
The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan and to have the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. Today's NBA DFS Core Picks (Captain/MVP/STAR)
There are three, (obvious) Captain candidates tonight for cash games. They are headlined by Luka Doncic, who is by far the best fantasy asset left in these playoffs. Luka has scored 60+ fantasy points in five straight games, and frankly, if you're playing cash games he is a must-roster tonight. Opting for either Kyrie Irving or Anthony Edwards at captain will provide significant salary relief compared to Luka, and makes cramming the three of them in a lineup doable. The vast majority of lineups will roster at least two of these three, so tonight's slate will largely be determined by the role players on each team.

- Luka Doncic, DAL at MIN – PG ($20.7K DK; $17.5K FD)
- Anthony Edwards, MIN vs. DAL – SG/SF ($17.4K DK; $15.5K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks (Utility/PRO)
The biggest news of the night is the absence of Dereck Lively. Lively and Daniel Gafford have been an exceptional one-two punch for the Mavs throughout these playoffs, and Lively's absence should clear the way for Gafford to have an even larger role than usual. Dwight Powell played for the first time all series after Lively went down, playing eight minutes in the second half. Powell is joined by Jaden Hardy and Kyle Anderson as viable options at $3K or less, making them perfect for a stars-and-scrubs build. For the Timberwolves, Naz Reid sticks out as being underpriced, and he projects to be widely owned.

The Mavericks will be the much more popular team tonight, I would try to avoid stacking all of their most obvious pieces so you don't have to split any winnings with 12 other people.
